Time it takes: Literally seconds!
Cost: Free
Skill required: Eyes to see the screen, a hand to move the mouse.
You will need: Your favorite song (mp3), a free piece of software.

Here we go...

There are now 2 tutorials, because the program used in the other tutorial is only a free trial. This one seems to be fully functional! You can also use the other tutorial to turn your favorite mp3 into a ringtone!

For this tutorial, you will need a free program called Cool Mp3 Splitter, don't worry, it dosn't come with adware or spyware... click here to get it: http://www.media-download.co.uk/mp3splitter/

RIght, when you've done the downloading business, double click on the file and run the installation. It's pretty simple and will take about 20 seconds. When the installation is done, it will ask you if you want to launch the program. Unless you are being awkward, select the box that means yes.

You should get a little box with 3 buttons at the bottom, unless you want to buy the program, just click ok. This will take you to the main program.

Now it's the easy bit...
This is what the main program looks like. Simple looking huh? Get started by clicking open and looking around your computer for your favorite mp3.
I have chosen my favorite mp3 by the suspiciously named Mr. Fictional... When you've chosen the file you want, select 'Method 2 (by time)' and click next. (Damn, this is hard)

Change the Length of parts to roughly 30 seconds. We recommend you make it a max of 30 seconds. Click next when you're done.

Right, this box should now pop up. Click yes to have a look at your new ringtone files!

WOW! Look what this cool little program has done, broken your favorite mp3 up into little bits - ideal for mobile phone ringtones! All you have to do now is listen to each file and choose which bit you want for your ringtone!

Only one more thing left to do:

If you do have the expensive cable that goes between your pc and your phone, transfer it over and use it as your ringtone. If you want to share the ringtone with your friends or the MotoMail.co.uk users, click here and upload it.

If you don't have the expensive cable, you can upload the ringtone onto MotoMail.co.uk free of charge, and then download it free of charge to your phone:

Your computer -----------> MotoMail.co.uk -----------> Your phone

(that makes sense dosn't it?)

Place your cursor here and click to upload your ringtone now! Please don't forget to rename your file before you upload it! :-)

And that's the tutorial over
The easiest way to go from mp3 to ringtone, he he! (Oh man that rhyme sucked)
